Plantar fasciitis is when the tissue on the bottom of the foot connecting the heel to the toes, gets inflamed and irritated.
It is often described as a stabbing pain through or around the patients heel and is typically most severe when the patient gets out of bed in the morning.

Plantar fasciitis is caused by the impact your foot makes when it strikes the ground.
Often when a patient comes in with plantar fasciitis they have an underlying low back issue that is throwing their gait off as a precursor to their plantar fascia issue.
So both need to be addressed otherwise it is just a temporary fix and will come back
We perform Chiropractic adjustments to the patients low back and foot to free up their spine and fix their gait.
Then we perform shockwave treatment to break up the scar tissue and resurface the tissue on the bottom of the foot.
We then give exercises to increase flexibility and strengthen the foot, calf, and low back
With this combination of care we have been getting the best results we have had with plantar fasciitis, in 20 years of practice.
